What it measures

ECG Tracker+ turns the raw Apple Watch waveform into informational estimates and explains what each one represents. None is a diagnosis.

Heart rate
Your beats per minute across the recording, with the highest and lowest points.
R-R interval
The time from one heartbeat to the next, the basis for rhythm and variability.
PR interval
The time from the P wave to the QRS, as the signal travels from the upper chambers to the lower ones.
QRS duration & amplitude
How long the main ventricular spike lasts, in milliseconds, and how tall it is, in millivolts.
QT interval
An estimate from the start of the QRS to the end of the T wave, calculated on-device using the tangent method.
QTc
The QT estimate adjusted for heart rate using Bazett, Fridericia, Framingham or Hodges. Formula choice can change the result.
HRV (rMSSD & SDNN)
Two time-domain estimates of beat-to-beat variability, calculated from each 30-second recording. They are not interchangeable with standard five-minute or 24-hour HRV values.

Every beat overlaid into one representative shape, with P, QRS and T markers and the isoelectric line.
